Collection: Canaletto (1697-1768)

Introducing our new Canaletto series—a beautifully curated collection spanning the artist's celebrated work across Venice, England, and London. Giovanni Antonio Canal—known as Canaletto (1697–1768)—came from a family of precision artists and brought that exacting eye to urban landscape. He did not simply paint beautiful places. He painted cities as experiences: alive with light, movement, architecture, and human rhythm. His vedute works captured the grandeur of the Grand Tour era with precision and atmospheric clarity that still feels immediate today.

Our Elliott Best Signature restoration process reveals these masterpieces as Canaletto intended—reversing centuries of varnish and fading to recover the brilliant skies, crystalline reflections, and luminous detail that made him legendary. Available on premium archival stock with museum-quality framing.
